today seemed louder than usual.
The parcel post delivery person (not the same as the regular letter carrier) just dropped a little package on my door. It's a little cardboard box shaped like a treasure chest, 5.5"L x 3"D x 4"H. 80 cents postage.
On the front it says "Discover the new land of retirement". On the back, "Chart your course to the annual King County Deferred Compensation Fair."
The inside is mostly shredded paper stuffing, but there's a little scroll inside. I wish I had a scanner. "Don't miss the boat! Ship sets sail on October 8, 2001. Discover plan improvements including how new tax laws can benefit your retirement account!" Then there's a big "X" labelled "Start here". A line leads off the edge of the paper and there's a note "(Details to follow)".
Oh. It says "Materials provided compliments of T. Rowe Price." So it's not your tax dollars. That's almost too bad.
So, what do we know. There's a presentation of some sort on 10/8/01. Don't know where. Probably about the pension plan.
