Usually, I complain about those individuals lacking in some sort of community spirit. In the interest of fairness, however, today I get to complain about myself.
Going up 3rd Ave to my first terminal at Virginia St, I was caught behind a student trolley driver. I'm not one to talk, and we'll see I have good reason to be humble.
Left 3/Virginia late.
Missed the 3/4 switch at Cherry St, but caught the mistake and moved the poles over.
Left 3/James later.
I had speed on my mind, hit 35 mph on E Cherry St, and was going about 30 on 34 Ave when I forgot to make a turn.
With a BOOM I come out from under the wire at 34th and E Spring St. That is, the wire turned left, and I went straight. Had to have a supervisor push me backwards 1/2 block so I could rewire and continue.
Made it to 1 Av W/W Raye St 12 minutes late. Fortunetely there's a 14 minute break there, so I was caught up timewise. A deep breath and back in business.
I'll probably get to have a nice polite talk about it with my base chief next week.
Ah, well, we all get a bad day once in a while, right?
Posting from poolgirl's house. I'm feeding her cats for a week while she's out of town.
